The Truth About U.S. Foster Care

I've come aross some real whack jobs in the blogsphere concerning Child Protective Services. You start to read their site and think "yeah, this ones got it together" only to have them go off on a tangent about god knows what. The one where the kid fell out of his car seat, THAT WAS SITTING ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER and onto his head, and they didn't take him to the E.R. for christ knows what reason. The short version is the kid eventually dies. Tragic, but COME ON! Yeah, sorry CPS is up your asses.
The problem for individuals like myself, are the cases like I've just mentioned. The ones that get the media coverage, the sensationalism that passes for investigative journalism.
The horror is this: if you've never had a run in with CPS, your first instict is to say "There's more to the story than we know, CPS does not take children from safe, loving homes just because of monies. Doesn't happen."
I'm here to tell you it does every day, and it's all about monies. Ones they enamour to receive as a result of the children in custody, and ones that America's poor do not have, thus justifying said removal. Read on, and if you doubt this relatively anonymous woman who's lost her son, look back at my face, my son's face. We are not anonymous and it happened to us. Read T. Major's Story
